Fashion platforms FASHIONCLASH, M-ODE and State of Fashion join forces and present the research-based collaboration and multidisciplinary partnership Taskforce Fashion. In co-creation with Dutch design talent, they investigate the relevance and the transforming role of fashion concerning social issues, climate change and a sustainable vision for the future.

Taskforce Fashion is commissioned by Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie and is made possible with the support of the municipality of Maastricht, the municipality of Arnhem and the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts.

Fashion After Flood

The first joint event of Taskforce Fashion is Fashion After Flood, in which fifteen Dutch fashion designers are challenged, through workshops and field trips, to reflect on a current urgent topic and climate change reality: the rising sea level.

The designers will analyse the impact of their work, and use their knowledge, vision and expertise to investigate how fashion can be of value from the future perspective of Fashion After Flood.

September: Field Trips

In teams of five, the designers zoom in on three cities in the Netherlands: Maastricht, Arnhem and Amsterdam. During special expeditions, they engage with various experts on topics such as water, identity and migration.
