Clothing is something that defines us. It’s what makes us authentically ourselves. So I want to travel with my best clothes. My sparkly top, my chunky trainers and my Balenciaga t-shirt.
The practical things I would pack, you can replace. I would pack a lot of unpractical things, but to me they’re important, because they’re things that remind me of who I am, even after I’d have to become an environmental refugee. I am always above all going to be Fede.
There are so many things we cannot even imagine when it comes to be a refugee. But also a lot we can understand. We do not stop being human, we do not stop being queer, we do not stop begin radical, we do not stop being tender. It might all be harder, but we will rise to that challenge and still form bonds based on fun and excitement.
I have a small post-it note my grandfather left me, where he drew something on during our last conversation before he passed away. He couldn’t talk so he just drew what should look like three water sources, from which rivers start, trying to tell me to believe in my ideas and keep going, cause every big thing starts from something small. I have it framed.
A black pant, tight on the ass, a little looser on my legs, with a sexy top, cleavage out. That makes me feel sexy, and when I feel sexy, I feel confident and strong.
